CAN BOATING BE A SAFE SOCIAL DISTANCING ACTIVITY?
*** The short answer is yes ***
1.) Crews will be temperature checked every morning and evening.
They will also wear facial masks and use hand sanitizer.
2.) As and when available crews will utilize Covid-19 test kits on a regular basis.
3.) We may require medical certificates for each guest.
4.) Extra special care is taken to sanitize all surfaces and equipment on the boat that guests interact with.
*** The long answer is a bit more involved ***
We recommend adhering to the following best practices:
1.) Limit the people aboard to family members you share your home with, no other guests.
2.) We cannot raft up with other boats or pull up onto a beach close to another boat.
3.) Maintain as safe a distance as practical from Crews when doing things like boarding or briefing and activities.
4.) After touching any equipment onboard, disinfect by washing your hands or using a hand sanitizer.
5.) Prepare ahead of time and do not plan to stop on the way to the pier.
