Exciting half day boat tours

full or half day options

Within range of Koh Samui are a number of island options that are achievable with a cost effective half day boat charter.

Koh Som (Orange Island)

This is the easiest and most cost-effective way to enjoy a Koh Samui boat tour. Located just off the north-eastern corner of the main island, this pair of islands (Koh Som and Koh Lum Mu Noi) offer the perfect quick half-day trip off Samui. During high season, it is very easy to join a group tour so even people traveling alone or as a couple can enjoy a boat charter from Koh Samui.

With idyllic beaches, excellent snorkeling and a small restaurant, it is a perfect place to sit and admire Samui as an island.

Koh Taen

A small island located off the south-western corner of Koh Samui, which is an excellent stop off on our Koh Samui Island tours. Whilst the island has suffered a change in its habitation with most of the islands’ natives moving to Koh Samui for job opportunities, some remained and provide food options for visitors. Whilst on the island, it is easy to travel around the island, go snorkeling or kayaking, and enjoy the mangrove forests.

Koh Mudsum (Pig Island)

Located just across the water from Koh Taen is the smaller Koh Mudsum (or Matsum) Island. Famous of its pigs which swam there from Koh Taen, this island features beautiful beaches and a bar. All there is to do is check out the pristine waters whilst snorkeling or head out to do a lap of the island by kayak. For those that are here to relax, you can simply lay out on the beach and enjoy the pigs.

koh tan, koh mudsum, koh rap, Koh Tan, Koh Mudsum & Koh RapIsland hopping on a private charter: it’s the only way to go Samui Luxury Charters is as professional as they come. From my first contact with Chris, to the wonderful staff on the speed boat (thank you Matthieu, George, India and Captain Tan), the experience was flawless. I will recommend this to all my friend and family, and would do the same to anyone reading this review.
The speedboat is LEGIT btw 2 x 350hp outboard that can outright fly, and get you to several distant islands during the day for a wide ranging experience: started off at a fantastic snorkeling location (with no other tourist boat in sight), the off to a famous salt water lagoon, then to a private beach on the big island, after that lunch at a fishermen’s village, and we had time to do a few more beaches given how fast the boat got us everywhere, but we were satiated after a wonderful trip and called it a day. Memorable!

koh tan, koh mudsum, koh rap, Koh Tan, Koh Mudsum & Koh RapExcellent family snorkelling trip Booked a family snorkelling trip to Ko Tao for 7 people (inc 3 teenagers) with Chris over What’s App which was very easy to organise and we could use PayPal to make payment. The private transfer arrived early and was a nice air con van that seated us comfortably for the 15 min trip to the port. On arrival we were met by Victor, George, Ton and India who then did a great job all day of looking after us on our super fast VIP speed boat. Plenty of room for the 7 of us and a very chilled trip to Ko Tao where we visited 4 different snorkelling sites and saw lots of beautiful fish and even a turtle. George was a great snorkelling guide, making sure we were all together as a group and also suggested the best sites with the least amount of people. The skipper Ton was very professional and pointed out various interesting sites along the way. All in all a really good day out and I would highly recommend Chris and his capable team to anyone looking for a boat adventure whilst in Samui.
